The story’s end was a little predictable for me – only because it is such a short story, and I was waiting for the really scary thing to happen, only to realize that it might be happening all along. This short, delightfully eerie tale penned and read by Neil Gaiman as part of his All Hallows Read celebration is well worth the mere twelve minutes it takes to hear. Listening to this at 2 AM wasn’t the best idea. I won’t say it’s impossible, it just wasn’t the case here I downloaded this when it was free on Audible. Guy is a little monotone and not great with character voices but that was not much of an issue here as he did not have a lot of diff This is a teeny-weeny horror story.

Tuesday Terror! Click-Clack the Rattle Bag by Neil Gaiman
Short Fictions and Disturbances by Neil Gaiman. Gaiman’s voice really makes it come to life. Audible Audiounabridged Audible download1 page. They looked into it, said no, they weren’t set up to do that I must say I think he narrates the proper stories in this collection very well, but those fragmentary dlick he does with a kind of knowing wink in his voice that I find really irritating.

No, very few of them have been really scary, though lots of them have been great stories for other reasons — the Fretful Porpentine rating gives the scare factor whereas the Overall rating is for whether I enjoyed the story. Like “NOOO, don’t stop there!

That is the moral of the story. That sounds fantastic, I must say! And the story apparently true was that the doctor had been an anatomist who used to cut up dead bodies in the house.
